Presence / Truth / Desire / Devotion

Feel your way forward.

Because your longing is sacred.

Gift yourself ten minutes

Free. Three mornings, ten luscious minutes each.

Somewhere along the way

You are the one everyone counts on.

You keep the calendar. You remember the birthdays. You notice when the milk runs out.

And somewhere in the middle of all of it, quietly, you moved to the bottom of your own list.

I do not want to disappear from my own life while I am busy loving everyone else.

Nothing is dramatically wrong. That is the confusing part.

You have simply gotten very good at tending to everyone but yourself.

The whisper you keep quieting

More beauty. More pleasure. More of you.

A morning that belongs to you. A meal you actually taste. A longing you say out loud without first checking whether it is reasonable.

None of it is one more thing to do.

You already know what yours is. It has been whispering a while, and you have learned to talk over it.

And there is no one to ask.

You have been waiting on a permission slip that was never coming, from people who were never going to hand it over.

It was always yours to give.

One thing you love about yourself, right now, as you are.
One thing you want, said out loud.
One small thing you will do today because of it.

Emily Lopez

Portrait of Emily Lopez

I didn't design this path. I needed it first.

My body was once a battlefield. Until I made it my altar.

For a long time I knew how to be the woman who could handle everything. I built a career. I achieved things. I became very good at being professional, capable, productive and dependable.

And somewhere along the way, I realized that being good at my life wasn't the same as feeling alive inside it.

So I began following the things that brought me back to myself. Some were quiet. Slowing down, listening to my body, noticing what I wanted.

And some were decidedly not.

I stepped onto a burlesque stage as Luscious Phoenix. I became an Ironman. I studied embodiment, spirituality, leadership, movement, and the relationship between pleasure and self-trust.

None of it was about becoming someone else. It was uncovering more of the woman who was already there.

Today I bring more than two decades of business and leadership together with years of study in embodiment, movement, spirituality and personal transformation. But the thing I believe most deeply didn't come from a certification.

You don't have to blow up your life to come back to yourself.

Sometimes it begins with ten minutes. A pause. A truth you finally let yourself feel. A desire you stop explaining away. A choice that belongs completely to you.

And eventually, perhaps, the courage to ask: what else could my life hold?

That's the path I walk. And it's the path I now make space for other women to explore.

A little of the formal stuff, too.
